On Saturday 08/August we held our Annual Bring a friend Day for all our schoolboy/girls.
This open training Session and games morning was again a huge success. Club Chairman Niall Ward coaxed a number of our current Junior players to help out. They were Shane OBrien, Liam Treacy, Shane Treacy and Niall Ward. Ex player Jordan Kelly helped out with some goalkeeping coaching for our Keepers. While this was an open session a number of new players attended and we hope to see them back soon. Paddy Kelly will inform all the parents of when our next training session is. You can also contact the Club Secretary, Ken OBrien

Our second preseason friendly saw us record a 5,1 win over neighbours Coonagh, who had a number of ex-Parkville players on show. This was a good run out for us and i hope that everyone realises that it will take a squad effort to do well this Season.
We traveled to play Hospital, today with a squad of 16. Ian Cox had to stand in as keeper and was in great form with a number of good saves. While we lost 3,2, Mike Worthy with our 2 goals. This was a case of giving players as much game time as possible. The constant changes meant that we were caught out a couple of times. This gives us a good base to work from and a number of players are now aware of how much work they will have to put in, in the next few weeks. Training on Tuesday and Thursday at 7oc in Knockalisheen. Players should note they can comment on this blog at any time.
